Daniel Fishel – LA Times

Last week I had the pleasure of working with the LA Times for their LA Affairs section. This is for a story about a man who gives the most unromantic marriage proposal after he wrecks his girlfriends car. This then turns into a really bad wedding and awkward honey moon. I really liked the tongue in cheek concept of using the window writing on a car that’s typically “Just Married” but making it more of a strange apology while the car in question is towed.

I had a few other ideas that I listed below that include a tire nut as a wedding ring and a narrative that makes a wedding proposal look as mudane and common as passing the salt. Either way, I really love how this piece turned out.  Click here to read about it.
