New Work

Alex Fine – Washington Post

Art Director Kristin Lenz from The Washington Post Outlook section recently contacted me with a really fun assignment dealing with the “redneck Jedi” that keeps popping up in shows like The Walking Dead and True Blood.  In this article, the writer explains why so many blue state liberals are rooting for red state protagonists.  This character usually is the person you want defending you in a survival situation and in the end the redneck Jedi usually listens to reason and find a way to do what’s best for everyone.  Something that many people feel is missing in a politically and socially divided country.  I also did a number of sketches that can be seen below including one that I took to final because I really liked it : )  It was a pleasure working with Kristen and she really made this job fun!
