New Work

Chris Gash – Drawing Science

One of my projects for 2012 was to start a record of my 8 years (and counting) illustrating for the New York Times Science Times. It continues to be an assignment I look forward to every week and somewhere I have the freedom to try whatever I think is right for the column. As a result, I have a body of work that I am very proud of. Each week, I will report on the assignment with rejected sketches, comps and alternate versions of the final art. In addition, I will dust off some of my old favorites starting from 2004 to last year’s best spots, two of which earned a place in Communication Arts and 3×3. Visit DrawingScience now!

  1. I love this! That’s such an awesome weekly gig, your work is perfect for it. I really like the wolf piece on your blog, can’t wait to see more.

  2. These are so great and playful. I love the bird with the clothespin. Please make that into a t-shirt, print, tote bag or anything so I can buy one for my girlfriend.
