Daniel Fishel – NY Times Book Review

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with Tim Goodman (He’s a super smart illustrator/designer as well so check him out), who was filling in for Nicholas Blechman at the New York Times Book Review. The book I would be doing an illustration about is called ‘Twenty-Year Death’, which is basically a series of three novels rolled into one. The story was a bit of a challenge to find a good solution for the illustration, but Tim and I agreed that the image needed to somehow show all three novels, three time periods/settings, and also show how they were all connected through the repetition of each of the main characters.
