Hey all,
I just finished a big project for my 1st year at SVA. It’s a picture book illustrating a day I took my son to the park last fall. The book is 8″x 10″ and comprised of 15 spreads. I made it with no pre-conceived market in mind, just an outlet to explore my relationship with parenthood and an excuse to work with environments and interior spaces, something I hadn’t been doing much of. I have never spent more time on one project in my life and I’m very proud of the results.
My book along with 19 other student’s books will be held in the gallery at 209 East 23rd Street. September 21st – October 13th.
There is a reception for the show on Monday, September 24th from 6 – 8pm. Swing by if you’re in the area.
Here is the cover and a few of my favorite pages;

Just that I’d add my 2 cents in here. Then add a zillion dollars because that’s what this masterpiece is worth. At least.
