Thomas James – The Political Gaffe

Here is a newly completed personal piece based on the phenomenon of the political gaffe. I’m a hardcore political junkie, and as such I’m always fascinated by the self-destruction that occurs when a politician says something that gets them into trouble. There have been plenty of examples of this already this election season, and I’m sure there will be more to come.

Turning the uvula into a noose seemed like a good and original solution for this concept, and I also decided that a black and white image would work well and allow me to do something a little different from my usual work. You can see more of my work at thomasjamesillustration.com.
