Here is one of my favorite pieces I’ve done recently. Outdoor Life has given me some great assignments this year and this one is tops in my book. I had the opportunity to work on a full-page portrait illustration with some storytelling in the background. And drawing pheasants was pretty awesome, too.
I wanted to show Mike and his dog, Ice Dancer, and the story of her rescue when she fell down a steep bank one night. It was a really nice story of companionship and the strong relationship between a dog and its owner.
