Daniel Hertzberg – LA Times: More Net, Less Flix


Here’s a (quite large) full-pager for the LA Times this weekend about Netflix and how the company started out competing with the likes of Blockbuster but is now changing how we watch television. Netflix is now producing its own television shows, similar to HBO, and is quickly becoming a production juggernaut in Hollywood.
So, it was all about showing the transition from film-to-television. I really like the Netflix-Hollywood sign to show Netflix as a powerhouse, but the art director loved the sketches of Netflix as a giant film-to-television factory. Sketches and the final printed version are below.
